So, I've been lame about blogging these last few weeks, but they've been pretty busy and now it's time to catch up. Yay! that's exciting for me, maybe not for you, but oh well.
So, the original reason that I delayed blog writing was because of the last few weeks before finals, during which I did A LOT of stuff (procrastination can cause this). Let's just say that in the last week and a half before finals, I wrote 25 double-spaced pages of short stories, essays, and reading journal entries. Those were some sleepless nights.
After that, I don't remember much of finals week. I remember I took three finals in one day, and then I remember going to Tucano's (mom you must come here and we must go to Tucano's), I remember packing a lot and cleaning a lot, and I remember being really really sad that last Friday and Saturday when everybody left. But let's not dwell on the sad parts, here are some more not-so-exciting random things that I deem worth mentioning of the last week.
*I spent Easter weekend with my cousins, which was a lot of fun. I even went to their ward on Sunday, and it was an intense sunday meeting. Very spiritual. The gospel doctrine teacher had planned a surprise, he read from 3 Nephi when Christ says "behold your little ones," and then he opened the accordion thing at the back of the room and behind it was an adorable junior primary class that sang to us. It was seriously so awesome.
*I read Jane Eyre and I am now in love with it.
*I moved in to my new apartment. My roomies are nice, different than what I'm used to, but nice. Nathaly, the girl I actually share a room with, it turns out I've already met before, which was kind of exciting.
*Coconut kisses are seriously the most delicious candies I've ever had in my life.
*It snowed yesterday, isn't that ridiculous?
*I had seriously the strangest dream the other night, reminiscent of some of Erika's lovely dreams. The details are fading but I remember that we were in an apartment and Ellen snuck over to the apartment next to us somehow, and then the people came home and we were spying on them, and then some big mafia guy tried to accuse me of stealing something from that guy, but somehow I convinced him that we hadn't, and then apparently he blamed the other neighbors, and then they were mad at us and some people across the street kept hitting tennis balls at us, and Sister Schatz was with them somehow, and then for some reason my brain changed the tennis balls to this yellow gum that was somehow always in my mouth, no matter how often I took it out and threw it away, more would appear, it was terrible, and then I threatened someone for something (which to me was the most surprising part), and then I don't remember anything else. But it was creepy. That gum....:/
That's pretty much it. Oh, and I guess I should mention this because I forgot to mention it when it happened - I GOT A JOB!!!!! I was soooooooo excited that weekend, you have no idea. Now, I am a captioner at BYU Broadcasting. It's fun, I get to watch all kinds of random shows, if you ever want to know about the opening of parliament ceremony, the beauty of chalkboard paint, how Roosevelt's New Deal led to a new property-owning democracy in America, or the best places to go if you're traveling to Queensland, Australia, I'm your girl.

My Roommate and Friend and Idol

This is Erika Bailey.
In other words . . . actually, there are no words to describe Erika. I've told her a thousand times that she's awesome and amazing and always exceptionally well-dressed and basically one of the coolest people I know, but none of those words are good enough to give her the credit she deserves.
Today, Erika did something nice and responsible without being asked and without asking for help. She does this and other things like it often actually, and she tries to play it off like it's not that big of a deal, but really, she has no idea how truly appreciative of it I am and how much I wish I thought of or actually did things like that the way she does. I sometimes think of doing the things she does, but I rarely actually do them when I should or even at all the way she does. I just wanted to publicly announce to the world that I have the best roommate in the world. She deserves way more credit and applause than she ever gets and I owe her so much and I am sorry that my actions aren't always up to par. She deserves way better.
