This is a picture of my hero: Lauren Smith.
Today, Justin, Jordan, Brooke, Lauren, and I all went to Heber City for an adventure. We didn't have a hugely exciting adventure, but we did have fun. First, we played in the park for a while and got snow everywhere. Then we went to Dairy Keen and even payed 25 cents to watch the train go to Hogwarts and back a few times. Then we scared Justin and made him run in the cold without his jacket. Then, we get to the real adventure...well, my adventure.
Brooke wanted to make a snow angel, but she didn't want to do it alone, so I agreed to make one with her. At first, it was really fun - really cold, but fun. We plopped onto the snow and spread our arms and legs out and made angels. Then, when we went to sit up, I started shaking my hands to get the snow off when all of a sudden, my class ring went flying off of my hand.
Just so you know, my class ring is one of my favorite possessions. It's a reminder of all the good times I had at Bartow AND Fallon, it's a reminder that I did actually do drama in high school, it's real gold with a green stone, and it has a smiley face on the inside that never fails to make me happy.
SO...needless to say, I was upset. I asked my friends to get out their phones so that I could have light to look for it. We messed up the snow angels trying to dig for it in the snow, and we couldn't find it and I was just about to get really really really sad when all of a sudden, Lauren says, "Hey, could that be it over there?" It was a hold in the snow in the opposite direction we had been looking, but it was my ring!!! I was soooooo happy! My hands were numb for a while and they still kind of hurt a little, and now, she's my hero. She's awesome for many other reasons to0 (spastic garbage bag dancing, times in Cabo, and awesome paninis just to name a few) but tonight she's my hero for saving my ring. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Lauren. I love you, and not just for saving my ring, promise. Don't blush. :)
