Day 2 in Provo Adventures

Today was truly an adventure. Craziness, let me tell you . . .

So, first we said goodbye to my Grandma Wilda and my Uncle David, who had stopped by her house. I was glad he did. They're both pretty awesome people, and I was super glad to see them because I haven't seen either of them in like five years. Hopefully I'll see more of them now that I'm in Utah.

Then, my mom and I set off for BYU. I had some things I needed to take care of there before we went to my other uncle's house. So, we're driving on I-15 when all of a sudden we see this rock come flying at our window and there was nothing we could do to stop it. We both jumped and shrieked a little. Right where the rock had hit, a star-like crack had appeared on the window...of the rental car. Let me say that again, on the rental car. So...my aunt found us a Hertz place in the Provo Marriott so we didn't have to drive all the way back to Salt Lake. But, we were kind of lost so we had to go to one Marriott first and get directions from them to the other Marriott. Once there, they told us that the actual Hertz place was somewhere else. So we called them, and they gave us directions there, and we finally got everything taken care of: paid for a replacement windshield and were given a brand new car. Everybody was so nice.

This is the crack from the inside. Lovely, huh?

Then, when we finally found BYU, it took about a half hour to find a place to park because of Education Week.

Then, after all of our shopping at BYU, we were driving from BYU to my Uncle Scott's house and we almost hit a biker. Not. Even. Lying. My mom had sped up a little to try and turn at a light while it was still green and this biker girl came out of nowhere. My mom slammed on the brakes and neither the girl or the bike were hurt, but it was still super crazy. And I think my mom was officially shot at that point.

However, besides all of that drama and craziness, today was pretty awesome.

Highlights:

1. I got my ID card!
(I'd show you a picture, but then I'd have to kill you)
2. I. Love. Taco Bell.
3. I found these really cool posters at the BYU Bookstore. They are seriously amazing. The artist was even there signing posters. They're called 'Real Hero' posters, and the website is www.realheroposters.com. Check them out.

This is the one I bought.

4. We impromptu decided to buy my textbooks. So I now offically feel official. It's pretty darn awesome. And all I gotta say is, yay for scholarship money.
5. and finally, I saw this super cool car in front of us today.

If anybody read all of this, please tell me and I will give you a super big hug when I see you because you are officially awesome. :)

We'll see what happens tomorrow . . .
