*"Get Happy/Happy Days are Here Again" was sung on Glee by Rachel and Kurt and it's pretty much my new alltime favorite song. I can't listen to it enough. And it's completely applicable to this week*
Last week was filled with stress and stress and work and work and stress. BUT Sunday, I spent nine and a half hours working on my research paper, and now it's finished, and I have nothing to do! YAY!
So...yesterday was pretty much an all-around awesome day. Maybe it was just the "high" after spending almost an entire day working on a research paper, or maybe it was just awesome. Either way, I'm still happy.
It started off normal, I woke up and went to class. We're starting proofs for truth-functional logic and it's fun. At least in my opinion it is. I spent the hour inbetween classes writing random stories for missionaries I've hardly talked to in my life (one of which is soon to appear on Facebook). My writing class was easy, we blew up balloons and created molten iron in my physical science class, and I understood most of what we talked about in my astronomy class. And that was just my morning and part of the afternoon.
Then I went to WalMart with Brooke and Jordan and Justin, which is always fun. Brooke bought a pumpkin that I got to carry around, which was fun. Then I went back to Brooke's apartment and chilled there for a while. I actually did homework that I wasn't due today. If that's not an indication that I was in a good mood yesterday, then I don't know what is.
Then I went home and made italian sausage and parmesan pasta roni, which was tasty. Then Lauren and I went to FHE, which ended up being loads of fun. We played the Animal Game (i had never heard of it before, but it's fun and it involves whacking people with a newspaper bat) but instead of each having animal names, we gave ourselves scripture names. I was Methuselah and others were Teancum, Anti-Nephi-Lehi, David, Mahonri Moriancumr, Abinadi, and Captain Moroni, just to name a few.
Then, Lauren and I went over to Brooke's apartment and we were going to watch Star Wars, but surprise surprise, there were other people over there. Some of the boys in their FHE group were over at their apartment still, and we all ended up chilling together for the rest of the night. We made pie and grits, ate cookie dough, joked around, didn't end up watching Star Wars, freaked out over the sliding tv stand, and watched certain friends go crazy. AND I didn't have to go home early to do homework or anything.
I don't know exactly what it was about yesterday, but I was in a good mood all day yesterday, and it's carried over into today. It's a good feeling.
