Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

So...I watched this movie because in my film class we watched the "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend" clip, and it was interesting. Plus, I'd never seen a Marilyn Monroe film before. I absolutely LOVED this movie. I need to own it. It was soooo funny, which I wasn't expecting. If anyone reading this has Netflix, watch it this weekend because it's not going to be free anymore. Here are some of my favorite quotes.

"Steve, suppose this ship hit an iceberg and sank, which one of those two would you save from drowning?"
"Those girls couldn't drown."

(spoken by an eight-year-old named is Mr. Henry Spafford the Third to Marilyn Monroe as she's hanging out a window) "I'm going to help you for two reasons. The first reason is, I'm too young to go to jail. The second reason is, you've got a lot of animal magnetism.

"Are you out of your mind?"
"Mm-hmm, but I like it that way"

"Listen, either you hock some of that stuff or get the price of a diamond tiara out of him"
"How much do you think a diamond tiara will cost?"
"Fifteen thousand at least."
"Let's see...that'll take an hour and forty-five minutes."

and my all-time favorite:

"Mr. Malone, I was wondering, what's your line?"
"My line? Well, my most effective one is to tell a girl that she has hair like a tortured midnight, lips like a red couch in an ivory room, and I'm lonely and starved for affection. Then I generally burst into tears. It seldom works."
"No, I mean what do you do for a living."
"Oh, you mean that kind of line."
